The Hospitality Community’s Influence in the Fight Against Human Trafficking
March 6, 2019 @ 2:30 pm– 5:30 pm EST
Location and Host Sponsor: Hyatt Regency Columbus (350 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215; 614-463-1234)
We have all heard the phrase “human trafficking”, but what exactly is it? Does it really impact the hospitality community? What influence can I have as an event professional to affect my community in a positive way? What do I need to know? Learning just a few simple signs to look for can make a significant difference.
Please join us as Columbus’ own survivor and author, Theresa Flores, shares her personal story and resolve to end human trafficking. Theresa is an internationally-known speaker and founder of Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution (SOAP) (soapproject.org), which works with the hotel community in saving victims of human trafficking. Her passion for creating awareness of this unacceptable crime is heart-moving. For additional information about Theresa Flores, visit https://www.traffickfree.com/.
